Contracting Officer
Duty Location(s):
As a contracting officer within the deployed theater of operations, supplements combatant service support and the reconstruction effort, performing the full range of acquisition functions including acquisition planning, soliciting, negotiation, contract award, contract administration, and contract close out. Selects the appropriate contracting method and type of contract given the nature of the requirements and the market conditions; prepares solicitation documents, including advising and assisting in source selection procedures, evaluation criteria and requirement-specific instructions; conducts business evaluations of proposals, to include cost and/or price analysis, and presents results; conducts negotiations within approved objectives and documents results in price negotiation memoranda. DAWIA LEVEL II CERTIFICATION DESIRED. 2 YEARS OF CONTRACTING EXPERIENCE TO INCLUDE COMMODITY PURCHASING ABOVE AND BELOW THE SAT PREFERRED. MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS SERVICES AND/OR CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE DESIRED. (U.S. Central Command; Activity: JTF JCC-I/A).
