Acquisition Policy Analyst

Responsible for research and analysis for policy development and implementation, and performs individual tasks and projects requiring a high degree of contracting expertise. Reviews, interprets and ensures effective implementation of the full range of contracting policies issued through regulatory/statutory processes. Makes technical determinations as to courses of action to pursue and resolves problems which require inter-functional decisions or resolution at the Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting (PARC) level. Provides technical advice to contracting personnel. Develops solutions to contracting problems involving changes of policies. Performs special projects and prepares and presents briefings as directed by the PARC. Provides expert technical leadership, staff coordination, and guidance to subordinate activities to ensure timely implementation of policies, programs, or new developments, and ensures that contracting activities are in compliance with laws and regulations.
