Lead Contract Specialist

Serves as a Lead Contract Specialist in the (ACC-APG) Army Contracting Command-APG Acquisition Center. As a project leader/business manager, needs a broad knowledge and understanding of the acquisition programs and acquisition concepts policies and regulations. Responsible for pre-award and post-award stages such as requirements or specifications that are difficult to define, issues resulting from technological changes, warranty provisions; data rights issues, and terms and conditions. Functions will involve acquisition planning, contract negotiation, award, administration, subcontracting, and termination to include final delivery and payment on high priority/high visibility programs. As a warranted Contracting Officer, has sole signatory authority to enter into and bind the government, ensuring sufficient funds are available for obligations and ensure contractors receive impartial, fair and equitable treatment.
