ACC offers excellent job opportunities (internships) as part of the Department of Army's Civilian Management Training Program.
In these positions, you will receive formal classroom and on-the job training designed to provide you with knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and methods required to perform the full spectrum of purchasing and contracting functions. Your classroom and on-the job training will provide you with the essential knowledge needed to expertly acquire supplies, services and equipment through the use of purchasing, contracting, grants, leasing techniques and business arrangements.
Evaluation is based on your level of competency (knowledge, skills and abilities) in the following areas:
Basic requirements for internship positions within ACC include completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution; included successful completion of 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) of study from an accredited institution of higher education in any of the following business related disciplines: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management.
Once selected for an internship position, at the time of the job offer, you will need to sign the mobility agreement as a condition of employment. The agreement states that in order to be placed in the internship program (or upon graduation from the intern program) you may be assigned to any location within the Department of Army and that you will relocate to the new duty location. Payment of your moving expenses is included as part of the internship program.
